Hawkes Bay Civil Defence Emergency Management Group

Theme for 2014 - "What would you do?"

We invite schools and their school community
to learn about natural disasters

Hawke’s Bay 'CDEM Group' wants everyone in Hawke’s Bay to know how to prepare for a natural disaster.
What is our risk of earthquake, flooding, tsunami and even a volcanic eruption.
Children also need to know what to do for their own safety.
SO, make a movie - it's an active way to reinforce learning.

The competition is open to all Hawke’s Bay schools with prizes in 3 categories: Primary, Intermediate and Secondary.
There is a prize for the overall winner.

1. Plan to make a movie as a school or class project. Use the info sheet for tips and resources, including this website.
